As the Missouri General Assembly session concludes, hemp farmers throughout Missouri are breathing a sigh of relief tonight, at least until December when it starts again. This session has been particularly crucial for the hemp industry, with a David and Goliath battle taking place. The larger, well-funded marijuana industry posed significant challenges, but through our noble and tireless efforts, we managed to ward off unconstitutional regulations. However, we must remain vigilant and prepared for future battles.

This Saturday, May 18th, Slaphappy Hemp Company will participate in the VFW Mental Health Fair in Washington, MO. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 813 Jefferson Ave, Washington, MO. This event underscores our commitment to advocating for veterans and promoting mental health awareness. We invite everyone to join us in supporting this cause and learning more about the benefits of hemp-based therapies and other mental health alternative therapies. The event is open to the public.
Washington Farmers' Market: A New Chapter for Slaphappy Hemp Company
We're thrilled to announce that Slaphappy Hemp Company has been accepted to the Washington Farmers' Market, a significant opportunity for us to highlight hemp as a true agricultural crop. This vibrant market, located in downtown Washington, MO, operates every Saturday from April through October, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It features over 40 local vendors offering a variety of homemade and homegrown products, including fruits, vegetables, baked goods, plants, crafts, and more.
The Washington Farmers' Market has been a cornerstone of the community for over 20 years, providing a welcoming space for local farmers to sell their produce and for visitors to enjoy a diverse selection of goods, rain or shine. Our participation in this market will allow us to reach more people with our products and further our mission through A Thousand Ripples, our initiative to provide accessible cannabinoid therapies to veterans and cancer patients. We are grateful to the Washington Farmers Market for providing this opportunity.
Looking Ahead
Our acceptance into the Washington Farmers' Market marks a huge step forward for Slaphappy Hemp Company. Alcohol isn’t allowed, so we are unable to sell our Mellocello due to its intoxicating nature, but we are excited to showcase the rest of our product line and engage with the local community. We look forward to connecting with market-goers, educating them about the benefits of hemp, and continuing our advocacy for hemp farmers and veterans. We aim to create positive ripples in the community, supporting both agricultural progress and veteran wellness. Join us on this exciting journey and stay tuned for more updates! We will see you on June 8th at the Washington Farmers market! Until then stay Mellow.
